Herbs In The Kitchen

The tradition of using herbs to flavour foods is nothing new. It is, in fact, almost as old as the human species itself.
Archaeologists have found evidence which suggests that the earliest cooks used parts of certain plants to season and improve the flavour of particular foods. Mustard seed was chewed with meat, it seems, and the seeds of wild wheat and barley were sprinkled on other foods to add a nutty taste.

Hermes   HUR meez

Herald of the Immortals

The wing shod messenger of the Olympians, Hermes was the beloved son of Zeus and Maia (the daughter of the Titan, Atlas). As friend to the mortals, he introduced weights and measures (as well as dice); he also escorts the dead to Hades. He is the giver of good luck and has a hand in all secret dealings and stratagems. He is, of course, sacred to all heralds. He taught mortals all arts… also, his domain includes roads, traffic and markets. In ancient times, a bust of Hermes was placed atop pillars to mark boundaries.

*Amethyst remedy for loneliness*

*There is a crystal remedy for loneliness. My grandmother taught me this.
*You will need a good size amethyst, put it in consecrated water and consecrate it as you would any other precious stone. Direct your focus onto the crystal, think about having good moments, happy moments and loneliness fading away. You also can envision yourself busy, or to have your husband touch the crystal so you will feel his presence no matter where he is.

Religious Tolerance In Springfield and the Greenleaf Coven by Cimerian

Religious intolerance is alive and well in Springfield Missouri. The question is, to what degree, and in the terminology of “The Burning Times”, how high are the flames?
In 1999, the court case of Jean Webb vs. The City of Republic was a headliner and major topic of conversation in this community. Republic, a small suburb of Springfield which predominantly featured the ichthus, known as a Christian symbol, on the city logo was under fire from a self- proclaimed Witch who had the audacity to claim that this symbol violated her religious rights.

Healing Power of Sacred Space

By: Christopher Penczak

You are what you eat. We’ve all heard that a million times before, haven’t we? It’s a call to be conscious about our food choices. Our health is dependent upon the fuel our body has to create our lives. Eat healthy, vitamin rich foods, and you have a healthy life. Eat poor foods, low on nutrition and high in empty calories, and you have a poor life, with low energy and core vitality. It’s a truth recognized by both the medical fields and alternative health specialists, though they might not completely agree as to what a healthy diet really is.

An Introduction to Meditation by Choalayna

“Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.” -William Shakespeare
