Chamomile –

Widely is used for use in sleep, peace, happiness and love relationship spells. The tea is a wonderful way to induce a peaceful slumber and sweet dreams and aids in meditation. The essential oil is ghastly expensive. Roman chamomile is by far the most inexpensive, but the flower itself is easy to find and works well for magical applications.

Blackberry:

Also known as bramble. Powerful herb of protection and used in invocations to the goddess Brigit, who presides over healing, poetry, sacred wells, and smithcraft. Also used in wealth attracting spells. To work your way through a bramble of blackberries is damn near impossible – but it is rumored to dispel, and protect from, all disease and evil.

Hastseyalti (talking elder)

Chief of gods. Navaho [USA]. Not regarded as a creator deity, but god of the dawn and the eastern sky. Also guardian of animals in the hunt and, possibly, of corn. Regarded as a benevolent deity who aids mankind and cures disease. He also has a malevolent aspect in which he can cast evil spells. His priest invokes him in a ceremonial dance wearing a white mask with a symbol consisting of a corn stalk with two ears. At the bottom is a horizontal yellow band representing evening light, with eight vertical black strokes representing rain. Also Yebitsai.

Hastehogan

Chief house god. Navaho [USA]. Also a god of farming identified with the west and the sky at sunset. Regarded as a benevolent deity who aids mankind and cures disease. Believed to live in a cave system near San Juan. He also has a malevolent aspect in which he can cast evil spells. His priest wears a blue mask, at the bottom of which is a horizontal yellow band representing evening light, with eight vertical black strokes representing rain. It is decorated with eagle and owl feathers.

Booyan

In Russian folklore Booyan is a magic island, mentioned in incantations and spells, the otherworld. This island is situated in the middle of the ocean, and holy men possessing healing powers live there; on this island stands a magic stoneAlatyr. In spells and incantations Booyan is mentioned along with this stone. People believed that otherwise no spell or charm could be effective.

Malachite:

Another useful stone! Place one on your altar to lend extra energy to magickal spells. Guards against negativity and depression, calms and soothes. Enhances the ability to give and recieve love. Increases business success, money. Promotes sleep. Very protective against physical dangers. Wonderful stone to use in the protection of children, and during travel.

 

 

Black Tourmaline:

Simply excellent at repelling negativity. Can protect a person from the negativity of another person. Increases vitality, energy, emotional stability, and intellectual acuity. Protects against negative spells. Excellent for grounding. It can point you in the direction of things that will bring “good”. Concidered a “teller stone”…can tell you who or what is causing you problems.

 

 

BLOODSTONE

— Increases physical strength and promotes courage. It is helpful in business and legal matters. Bloodstone has been found to increase the effectiveness of spells. When worn, this stone is said to increase one’s life span. Great for healing matters concerning the bloodstream. Can be used for invisibility (in the form of not attracting attention to yourself).
