Preliminaries

WATER:

Blessings upon thee, O creature of water, I cast out from thee all impurities and uncleanness of the spirits of phantasm, confusion or any other influence not for the free will of all.

SALT:

Blessings be upon this creature of salt; let all malignity and hindrance be cast forth thence from, and let all good enter therein. Wherefore I bless thee and invoke thee, that thou mayest aid me.

MIXING:

I take this salt of the Earth,
Blessed with the will of Fire;
I take this water of spirit,
Exorcised with mind of merit;
I mix them with words of power,
Dedicated to every Tower.

By the power of Moon and Sun,
By the power of Spirit, Earth and Sea,
God and Goddess are part of One,
As I Will, so mote it be!

Casting of the Circle

I conjure thee, O circle of power,
As thou encircle every Tower.
That thou beest a place of Truth, Joy and Love,
Encircling Flight of Eagle, Hawk and Dove.

Mighty Aegis of the Lady and Lord,
Rampart of thought, action and word.
To work in Peace, Powerful and Free,
Who walk between two worlds conjure thee;

A boundary to Protect, Concentrate and Contain,
That Power raised here be not in vain.

Wherefore do I bless thee and consecrate thee, in the names of Cernunnos and Aradia.

Sealing of the Circle

With potion of earth and water, I seal the sacred circle,
Linking air and fire!

With potion of earth and air, I seal the sacred circle,
Linking fire with water!

With potion of earth, air, and fire, I seal the sacred circle,
Linking water with the Earth!

As the four directions are brought to merge,
Let influence of the mighty ones converge!

Airy Lords of Spirit;
Let your influence of Power,
Aid our minds with merit!

Fiery Lords of Will.

Your Powers to fulfil!

Bodach

In Scottish Gælic bodach means ‘old man’. This was a spirit or bogie that would come down the chimney of a house and either steal children or terrorize them, poking and pulling at the child, thus inducing nightmares. It was said that the bodach would only bother naughty children, and in defense a child could put salt in the hearth, as the bodach would not cross salt.

Banishing And Sealing Ritual For The Home

To be performed during at the New Moon, but may be performed at any time in need.
You will need a new white Candle (any size with holder), small bowls for Water and Salt, and a large bowl of water as well, and the censer and an appropriate incense. (Choose one that brings to your mind qualities you wish to have in your home.)

Salt Dough

One of the simplest, and one of my favourite crafts, is salt dough. It is really fun. You can mold it into any shape you like, such as goddesses, gods, pentacles, etc. All is you have to do is follow the recipe below, form it into your shapes, set them on a oven tray, and bake them until hard. This depends on what sort of oven you are using. In fact, you can even bake them in the microwave. After baking them, just paint them, and let dry. Voila, you have cute little figures perfect for jewellery, ornaments, decorations, or anything else you can think of.

Natrium muriaticum (Sea Salt)

The sea is salt and salt are your tears; salt is used to preserve your food.
Natrium muriaticum, being the homoeopatic salt, is a medicine for preserved and frozen grief and suppressed emotions. People who need this remedy often have had a grief too big to work through, so they stored it somewhere in their personality, consciously or unconsciously. They don’t want to talk about it and often weeping is impossible for them. They feel deeply hurt inside. In order to prevent further attacks on their soul they build
an emotional ivory tower around themselves. This means that it are quite vulnerable, closed people who find it difficult to show their emotions and who keep other people at a certain distance.
