The youngest son of Lot and Morgause and favorite of his older brother Gawain. He is nicknamed Beaumains in Malory which is indicative of his generosity. His principle quest involves his often thwarted but eventually successful affair with the lady Lyones. He marries her but is accidentally slain at Carlisle by Lancelot during his rescue of Guinevere from the stake.
