Aconite is a plant which was introduced to England …….  ago.  Reports of it are included in manuscripts of the tenth century downwards.  it is found growing wild in western counties of England and South Wales and was popular as a flowering garden plant.

Enochian Magic by Chic Cicero and Sandra Tabatha Cicero

The Enochian system originated with the ceremonial skrying of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly toward the end of the sixteenth century in England. Dr. Dee was one of the foremost thinkers of his time—a Hermetic philosopher/magician who was also a respected scientist, mathematician, and astronomer. He was also Queen Elizabeth’s court astrologer. His personal library rivaled that of any in England at the time.

BRIGIT OF THE CELTS 

Brigit was one of the great Triple Goddesses of the Celtic people.  She appeared as Brigit to the Irish, Brigantia in Northern England,  Bride in Scotland, and Brigandu in Brittany. Many legends are told  about Brigit. Some say that there are three Brigits : one sister in  charge of poetry and inspiration who invented the Ogham alphabet,  one in charge of healing and midwifery, and the third in charge of the  hearth fire, smithies and other crafts. This catually indicates the  seperate aspects of her Threefold nature and is a neat division of  labor for a hard-working goddess.

Cadoc

Monk/saint who founded the monastery of Llancarfan in Glamorgan. Several lives (mostly fictional) of Welsh saints were written there that introduce Arthur. The Llancarfan writings are generally antagonistic to Arthur, who is treated like a foreign interloper who is not Welsh but vaguely from an area now in southwest England.
