Introduction

We often notice the big differences between groups, but I believe that it’s the smaller details that bring a group to life. Over the thirty or so years, the Reform has come up with its own peculiar laws, rainments, ritual accessories, favorite books, titles, vocabulary, at least two sets of calenders, holiday customs, symbols and other traits. These are often the most difficult aspects for newcomers to learn and are often the first details that are forever lost when a group goes into abeyance. This is but a limited collection, but some of the more widespread and longevous traits of the Reform. Perhaps this is good, because they are only a sideline to the real search for religious truth. Do not get overly worked up over them, since most of us don’t consider them very vital to the pursuit of Druidism, perhaps more of a decoratory function. If you can come up with a better way of running your Druidism, feel free to forge ahead, rename things and so on. Just remember that you and I can speak for nobody’s opinions and actions but our own. Living off the grid is becoming more and more popular nowadays as people try to move away from relying on big utility companies such as Eskom and Telkom. It is not as much of a trend in South Africa as it is in countries such as America and Canada, but it is definitely a growing movement. For instance, there is a housing development on the West Coast that is totally Green and has no reliance on outside utilities at all. They store all their own rain water in tanks on the estate and power is supplied via either solar panels or low consumption diesel generators. This is all well and good if you are a millionaire and are ready for retirement but for the average person it is not practical.

If you want to start moving off the grid there are a couple of not too expensive things that you can do to cut down on consumption:
 Get a geyser blanket for your geyser
 Get a small to medium water tank that can trap rain water from your gutters and later be used for watering your garden.
 Use gray water i.e.: run a hose from your bath/shower to your garden. Most soaps and shampoos nowadays are bio-degradable but if they aren’t go to somewhere like the Body Shop to get biodegradable soaps.
 Put half a brick in the cistern of your toilet. This cuts down on water usage every time you flush.
 Use cfl light bulbs wherever possible and not incandescent.
 Turn off all unnecessary items like TVs, computers, DVDs etc and don’t leave them on stand by.
 For those of you with a bit more money get a solar geyser; they cost between R10000 and R25000 depending on capacity but it should pay for itself within three years.
 Get your windows tinted and have insulation put in your ceiling instead of using an air conditioner or fan.

Most of these suggestions will help you save electricity, water and, in the long run, money. It is not necessarily off the grid living but it is a start and the more of us that make an effort the better the planet will be in the long run. Just remember that every little bit counts and whatever you can do will help.

21. If thou teaches Sin then thou know only Shame.

22. the Book of Sin is the Book of Shame.

23. His disciples taught lies.

24. They taught fear.

25. They taught slavery.

26. They taught Shame.

27. They claim to do Jehovah's work.

28. They claim to be prophets.

29. Has it not said that to beware the false prophet?

30. Though the prophet himself was false?

31. He taught lies and He taught fear.

32. I repeat this to You.

33. The truth is inside Of You.

34. Apostils brought forth the Lies from Heaven.

35. The Lies are the Book of Truth.

36. Mankind reject these truths.

37. For You are ignorant and You are hypocrites.

38. You ignore the Truth and follow Lies.

39. Which of His revelations came true?

40. Let the Word be burnt!

41. Spit in the eyes of the False Ones.

42. Let none stride You away from achieving Your Desire.

43. Desire is a lie.

44. Then Jehovah created the world with his word of Command.

The basic framework of Western magic is made up of a few surprisingly simple instruments that function on the astral plane (another way of saying in the imagination). Usually they have their material correspondents.

Intro to Satanism

I’ll confine myself to discussing serious_occultists who identify as Satanists. I have no interest in the teen-age glue-sniffing “Satin rulz” crowd, who are into “Satanism” as a way to shock the grown- ups, and who usually (as far as I know) outgrow it. Nor am I interested in criminals who say the Devil made them do it (often, I suspect, as a way to get themselves declared insane).

Herbal lore has been passed from healer to healer, mother to daughter, generation after generation. Herbalism is an ancient practice of a gentle science. The uses and properties of herbs are just now reaffirming itself in the western scientific community. Holistic medicines work with the body to balance our natural chemistry. The side effects of herbs are generally less severe then pharmaceutical drugs and the benefits to the body and soul are great. Although natural healing is practiced by many it is always best to do research for yourself, seek out someone well trained, and obtain a doctor’s diagnosis for all severe medial problems. When using a natural medicine for an ailment, seek medical council if a condition is threatening your well being, worsens or has persisted for an extended period of time (1-2 weeks). Herbal medicines are powerful and can, if used incorrectly, have life threatening results.

Trading Places Exercise

Objective:To trade places (mentally) with a dog or cat, or other animal.

Setting: Home, Zoo, Wilderness, etc.

Instructions:

1. Relax your body as completely as you can. Calm your mind, eliminating all thoughts which do not relate to your intent and purpose. Sit so that you are comfortable, and as nearly as possible on the same level with the animal you will be working with. Lie down if you like. The important thing is that you are able to comfortably make eye contact with your animal partner in this exercise. It is also important to satisfy yourself that the animal is likewise comfortable and secure with you.

Non-Pagan history describes familiars as low-ranking demons in constant attention to Witches for the purpose of carrying out spells and bewitchments. Familiars usually assumed animal forms – cats, toads, owls, mice and dogs seem to have been the most common – though virtually any animal or insect could be suspected. In the Witchcraft Trials, if so much as a fly buzzed in the window while someone suspected of being a witch was being questioned or tried, it was said to be her (or his) familiar. The inquisitors took the Bile to heart: those who had familiars were “an abomination unto the Lord” and should be “Put to death: they shall stone them with stones: Their blood shall be upon them” (Lev. 20:27).
