Think for Yourself; Question Authority

by Anja Heij

The famous magician and occult writer Donald Michael Kraig commences his teachings by writing down the following characters on a blackboard: TFYQA, which means Think For Yourself; Question Authority. It is a sign of his greatness of mind and openness towards the spiritual path of others. In fact he says: “This is what I have come to know and these are my experiences. Consider my words and try out for yourself if what is truth for me also is truth for you. Absorb the wisdom of the outer teacher, turn inwards to hear the soft voice of the inner intuitive teacher, and let the child of both forces be born as your own wisdom. No matter how educated, experienced, famous or spiritually evolved the teacher may be, your own judgements and decisions count even more.”

Manganum (Manganese)

by Anja Heij

Manganese is a widespread metal on Earth. It makes connections with many other elements.
Manganum-characters are flexible; they easily adapt themselves to other people. They feel a great need to help and support others. If they cannot help you they become uneasy and restless; there is an inner drive to connect, to relate to people. Manganums also desire appreciation of their  helpfulness; they like to be flattered. If their help remains unnoticed or when it is not valued they become bitter and start pitying themselves: ” I worked so hard to make him feel well, and in stead of ‘thank you’ all I get  are reproaches!”

Grounding and Shielding

by Anja Heij

With grounding or centering we mean being firmly present in your body and cleaning it from lower frequencies, so that the ‘holy spirit can descend into matter’ or, put in a different way, you can easily make contact with your intuition and unconsciousness knowledge. Shielding means using some energetic shield or defense to keep unwanted spirits and negativity out or your energy field. Especially before starting spiritual practice it is important to use shielding, because then you are opening up yourself for contact with other realms. If you are sensitive to absorbing problems, emotions, thoughts or even physical pain of others, it is advisable to ground yourself every morning and evening for a short while. And if you sense that others are tapping into your energy or spread a heavy, negative energy, immediately put an energetic shield around you.

BELIEFS AND CUSTOMS OF WICCA

Not every Wiccan will subscribe to all of these points, but generally they are representative.

1. The divine Spirit is present in all creatures and things: people, animals, plants, stones…

2. The ultimate creative force manifests in both feminine and masculine modes; therefore it is often symbolized as the Goddess and The God.

3. In some covens, both are celebrated equally. In others, The Goddess is given precedence or even celebrated without reference to the God.
