The Appearance of Dragons

Dragons have different shapes and sizes when it comes to their bodies. They can be very small to enormous, typical type of body or an unusual type of body. There are some characteristics that are common to all Dragons as in all have scales and a tail, those too might differ slightly but are common. We all know of the common western dragon with 4 legs, tail, scales and sometimes horns, spikes and barbs. Not all western dragons have wings, but most do. They come in different colours depending on their species, habitat and clan. E.g. It’s uncommon you’ll find Blue dragons in a desert.

Indrik the Beast

In Russian folklore Indrik the beast is a miraculous beast, the lord of animals. He lives on “the saint mountain” and treads there where no other foot may tread. When he stirs, the Earth tremble. This beast has two horns, he rules the water with snakes and crocodiles. According to a legend, Indrik has rescued people from a drought.

El

Leader of the gods. The first Canaanite god, El dwelt on Mount Saphon, and it was under his aegis that Baal married Anat, defeated the sea god Yam and the death lord Mot, and was installed as the divine bestower of life-giving rain. Represented as an aged man, El wore bull’s horns, the symbol of strength, and was usually depicted as seated. It is thought that he corresponded to the Hebrew god, Yahweh. He is also known as El ‘Elyon, “God Most High.”
