Goddess of dissent or strife. Greek. The consort of ARES, the god of war, and the mother of HORKOS (oath). She is depicted throwing the apple of discord among guests at a wedding, offering it “to the fairest” to provoke argument.
In Roman mythology she becomes DISCORDIA.
